Picks of the Week: Week 13

Posted on April 4, 2011 by

It was Mothering Sunday on, well, Sunday… so it seems fitting to explore some entries from this week that appreciate the mothers of the world.

Gemma Critchley’s post is short, simple, to the point and heartfelt. Follow her advice!

F is for Faye provided us with a link to an eye-opening article by Simon Callow about taking care of his Alzheimers-stricken mother.

Michelle Lasley’s post isn’t specifically about Mothers Day, but it’s food for thought nonetheless.

My favourite entry on the subject is from Ciaran Watkins, who can always be counted on to say interesting things about advertising (and also guns, boobs, beer, trucks and other manly things) but in this instance also managed to say nice things about his mother. Bless. Nice job, Ciaran, keep it up.

As always, thank you for your support in reading the things we write about, and please show your appreciation with a donation of time or money in the sidebar. And if you spot any particularly noteworthy entries throughout the course of the week, be sure to let us know either in the comments here or by tweeting at us @oneadayproject. Love you!
