Mark Fraser: Day Two Hundred and Thirty Three – If You Blow In the Wind

Posted on August 21, 2011 by

This one came to me quickly, but has more meaning than works I’ve taken longer on.

A season tree

If You Blow in the Wind

If you blow in the wind
Longer than life itself
In the summer, swaying with the earth
Chronicling the world

If you blow in the wind
Losing your hair in the autumn
Living, breathing and hibernating
A new myth at the end of the year

When you blow in the wind
Weather beaten and forlorn
Bare to the elements
The winter’s tale for all

If you blow in the wind
and sprout again in the spring
A phoenix from the ashes
Another new saga begins
